Classic Bird Hunts
Guided Upland Bird Hunting, In Traditional Style.
Ghost of the uplands.
They can be here today and gone tomorrow but these mysterious nocturnal birds are the perfect compliment to the ruffed grouse. The knuckleball of game birds is a direct contrast
to the low and away fastball that the grouse can be.
These tight sitting birds were made to be hunted with pointing dogs. Often found in the same cover as grouse, woodcock prefer things a bit damper and are not as likely to be trailside.
Woodock are migratory and travel through our neck of the woods
from mid-September to the end of October feasting on earthworms on their journey to the gulf states.
